It has been a fun start to Spring. The first part of Spring Break in March was wet, we even got some hail. When it finally dried up enough, I took the kids to Saguaro Ranch Park to play. We even saw a peacock as we were leaving! It was a nice little break for all of us. Initially I thought Princess would be stir crazy to be at school with friends but she was just fine at home with her brothers. I am so glad they play well together. After that it was back to school and the usual routine.
Princess had a Kindergarten music concert and she sang loud and did all the actions. It was very cute to see all 5 Kindergarten classes singing. It was also a fundraiser ice cream social, so the boys had some fun while we were waiting for it to start. Once it started, it lasted about 20minutes but it was cute!
Easter came and started for these kids on Friday with a visit from Grammy and an Auntie. Saturday night as the “bunny” was fixing up the baskets, Buddy woke up. He was quickly whisked off back to his room. He proceeded to wake up a couple more times after the “bunny” went to bed to ask if it was Easter yet. HAHAHA! We were very glad in the morning that he thought nothing of what he might have seen the night before. It was a very early morning at our house, the kids found their baskets and lots of eggs. Then came the ritualistic begging for candy. It was like 7am so they had to wait until at least after church. That afternoon came more visitors, Grandpa and another Auntie with even more candy and stuff. Dinner was shared with Grandma W and she brought treats too. We relented and let them have a bit of candy that day and they were pretty hyped up that evening. Needless to say, candy is now being rationed on good behavior.
Mommy and Daddy are still in school and Daddy is working hard at his job. We are in limbo on the house situation at the moment, waiting for something back from the lenders. We may be able to buy the house we are in or we might have to move and start a new adventure. Either way, the process has been long and waiting is the hardest part but we are ready for anything.
Princess is becoming quite a good little reader and sounds out everything. She was also the Student of the Month for February! Buddy is ready for preschool and we have already visited one and he didn’t want to leave. Bruiser is talking more, however we have reached terrible 2 attitude, even though he is only 18months. He seems to throw fits for whatever reason and will throw it for a bit of time. He usually crashes immediately after he finally calms down, so I am sensing a pattern. He is still a good snuggler when he wants to be. We are doing alright and we have each other, that is all that matters!
