Well, it has been over a month of inactivity on my blog. It has been busy. Let’s start at Halloween. We did our first themed Halloween costumes this year. We convinced our Princess that it would be fun and she was only sold on the idea if Mommy sewed her costume. So, we went as characters from the Wizard of OZ. We had Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch of the East. Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch were only present for the ward party. Trick or treating around the neighborhood was a first as well. It was pretty quiet and because both parents went, we just left candy outside the door and it was gone when we were finished. It was fun to walk around and also a good teaching opportunity for street safety and how to tell what doors to go to on Halloween. We didn’t go very far but they were tired when we were done and still made a pretty good haul.
November was full of school, getting Daddy set up to start again and Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was interesting this year. It was relaxing but funny that things ended up at our house because some other plans had to change. It was great to visit with everyone, especially the cousins from Mesa and we missed the ones we didn’t get to see. The following week, Daddy started his Master/Doctorate program. It is going to be exciting around here for the next year. Mommy is one year into her Bachelor degree, with 14 months to go. Daddy’s program is much longer but gives us a lot of security and excitement for the end result.
Christmas is fast approaching and Mommy feels wholly unprepared. Still lots to do before the end of the year but a new year always brings joy and adventure.
